Description

HTii (Holmes-Tucker International, Inc.) is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to provide support at our Lexington Park corporate headquarters adjacent to Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
Position is Contingent upon contract award”


Duties

  • Architect will assist with functional decomposition of system requirements from top-level mission requirements to smaller, independent, yet interconnected components allowing the customer to have multiple development teams to work independently and in parallel toward the final system integration.
  • Assist the customer with preparation of specifications, along with traceability analyses and metrics reporting on the decomposition, flow-down, synthesis, traceability and verification of the requirements throughout the lifecycle of the system.
  • Assist in producing documents and reports directly from the architecture tools.
  • Utilize architecture tools to develop and maintain a model of the system. Support the requirements decomposition with SMEs on the program to define system functionality, behavior and interfaces. Support decomposition of system functionality into sub-systems and services and how these entities interact.
  • Use the system model for both system-level and software simulation and analysis. Perform parametric analysis and trade studies using the model.
  • Provide direct support to the customer at meetings, working groups and one-on-one to assist with system engineering tasks, while maintaining configuration control of the model.

 

Qualifications

  • 7 to 12 years of systems engineering experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Minimum of a secret clearance

 

Desired Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with Magic Draw, RSA, Rhapsody, Sparx, and/or CORE
  • 2+ years of experience desired in the IBM Rational tool suite including Jazz and DOORS
  •  2+ years of SETR process experience, along with familiarity with the NAVAIR ISEE tool


Education

 

  • BS, MS or PhD in a technical area, e.g., engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science
