Description

HTii (Holmes-Tucker International, Inc.) is seeking an Acoustics SME (Engineer/Scientist) to assist our customer in development and fielding of Follow on Modernization (FoM) capabilities of the F-35 fleet at the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JPO) located in Arlington, VA.

 

Duties

  • Provide systems engineering, technical, and analytical support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Functional Teams of the F-35 capabilities
  • Provide expertise, analysis and advice on aircraft and personnel acoustics noise and hearing protection engineering
  • Conduct acoustic noise measurements of high performance jet aircraft, noise modeling, community noise, speech intelligibility, and noise attenuation of hearing protection devices

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 10 years experience in high performance aircraft and basing
  • Direct, practical work experience with noise generated by high performance jet aircraft, community noise modeling and basing
  • 4 years demonstrated knowledge of determining hearing protection devices for ground crew personnel and total noise exposure based on physical location around aircraft
  • Demonstrated experience in planning noise/ vibration exposure evaluations tests for high performance jet aircraft. Knowledge must be sufficient to provide credible direction and consultation in the areas of microphone placement, test site location, data organization, and modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning, collecting, and analyzing speech intelligibility studies for aircrew and ground crew personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Secret Clearance with eligibility for SAR

 

Education

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, science or technical field
