Description

HTii (Holmes-Tucker International, Inc.) is seeking an Avionics Engineer to provide support to the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program located at Patuxent River, MD. This position requires a SECRET clearance.

 

Skills Required:

  • Understanding and the ability to execute tasks associated with NAVAIR’s Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), Systems Engineering Transformation (SET) initiative, Configuration Management (CM) and Airworthiness and CYBERSAFE processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Avionics engineering experience
  • Technology Readiness Assessments
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
  • Technology Security/Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) requirements
  • Use of Collaborative Tools (ex. Microsoft Teams)
  • Maritime helicopter systems

 

Education:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience

 

Responsibilities and Tasking:

  1. Comply with tasking provided by IN/Greece Class Desks and Avionics Lead Engineer.
  2. Provide Avionics Engineering support to the IN/Greece Class Desks and Avionics Lead Engineer as follows:
    1. Provide technical inputs in the creation and review of avionics engineering documents (ex. SOW, CDRL, technical proposals, SETR planning, technical maturity, etc.) for inclusion and compliance with IN requirements as defined by the FMS Case.
    2. As required, participate in PMRs, technical reviews, technical coordination meetings, Test Planning Working Groups (TPWG), CSWG, System Safety Working Group (SSWG), Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs)/Model Based Systems Engineering Activities, conferences, briefings, and other significant program activities. This consists of any preparation work (ex. briefing material) and tracking engineering action items associated with the aforementioned items. Identify and analyze the issues discussed, record action items, and recommend courses of action.
    3. Coordinate with multiple disciplines as required to prepare or review the avionics related technical documentation, proposals, investigations, and analyses needed to support the baseline IN and Greece programs, ECPs, requirements/requirement changes, Product Test Verifications, and other appropriate documentation for all avionics systems applicable to the IN and Greece FMS cases, as well as for IN and Greece-unique avionics systems.
    4. Review, analyze and track IN/Greece specifications and data packages; review suitability/supportability documentation; review and provide technical recommendations on avionics ECPs and Technical Directives; and participate in technical working groups to resolve any avionics engineering issues. Assist with the development of appropriate avionics engineering documentation, formal letters, informal memos and other general correspondence.
