Description

HTii (Holmes-Tucker International, Inc.) is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer in the Radar and Antenna Systems Division of the Avionics Department located at Patuxent River, MD. This position requires a SECRET clearance.

Required Experience:

  • Recognized expert in Radar technologies and Radar systems
  • Advanced theories, concepts, principles, processes and models for assigned technical areas of responsibility (i.e., subject matter, function, or equipment)

 

Responsibilities and Tasking:

  • Serve as a Senior Radar Engineer in the fields of Radars for communications and broadcast, Radar systems, as well as, airborne surveillance and tactical Radar systems.
  • Initiate, manage, mentor, coordinate and engineer complex and highly advanced Radar systems analyses.
  • Identify, coordinate, and lead advanced development, and supports all phases of acquisition programs that are critical to Radars, radar, communications, and broadcast systems.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in his/her technical specialty by applying knowledge of state-of-the-art in Radar modeling tools, Radar measurements, and system designs to multiple advanced Radar programs.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and interface with industrial partners to provide state-of-the-art solutions to Naval Aviation and the warfighter.
  • Provide acquisition/technical expertise and leadership for analyzing technical and programmatic issues, planning, organizing, documenting, and directing all activities associated with the programs
  • Provide expert knowledge to be applied in all acquisition phases from concept thru production and support, including source selection activities
  • Assume leadership in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating diverse efforts and supporting the efforts of others, including contractors, serving as technical/acquisition liaison to other government agencies on technical and programmatic matters.
  • Establish requirements to meet new or inadequately fulfilled technical objectives; translating these requirements into development and application programs; and conceiving and developing new products and/or theories.
  • Resolve problems, which are of controversial or novel nature and for which few if any engineering precedents exist.
  • Represent the organization or agency at high-level conferences and meetings related to his/her specialty.

 

Education

  • Technical degree (computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or engineering) or equivalent experience
